About course

Gain a truly elite military specialty — Fixed-Wing UAV Operator. The main objective of the course is to train pilots who already have basic knowledge and skills in UAV operation to effectively perform aerial reconnaissance and strike missions using fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems. You will also learn how to program flight missions, perform takeoff and landing in manual mode, understand the structural features and operational specifics of fixed-wing UAVs. During flight, you will practice real-time mission adjustments, flight control, and executing fire missions against the enemy. You will also learn to operate under electronic warfare (EW) conditions.

Training from Monday to Saturday
Daytime classes from 10:00 to 17:00
For military and civilian participants with basic UAV piloting skills

What you will learn

– 2 weeks of intensive training, including theory and flight practice
– Knowledge of meteorology, basic aerodynamics, and flight dynamics
– Understanding the specifics of combat mission planning
– Introduction to the “Kropyva” battle management system and Mission Planner
– Full-time daytime training
– Option to split the course into two parts

Course program

Theoretical part of fixed-wing UAV flight training

The theoretical part consists of five lectures covering the basics of legislation, meteorology, aerodynamics and flight dynamics, the structure of UAV systems, and an introduction to operational procedures.

Flight skills training using a computer simulator

Day by day, under the guidance of an instructor, we practice takeoff and landing skills in various weather conditions. We gain knowledge in programming and executing flight missions.

Practical flights at a fully equipped training ground outside the city

Skills are practiced in fixed-wing piloting, hand launching, autonomous flight, and surface landing.

Certificate

Upon completion of the course and successful passing of the exam, each trainee receives an official certificate from the training center. This certificate confirms that the trainee has acquired the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills in operating Class 1 fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems. The training program meets the requirements for the profession “Remotely Piloted Aircraft Operator” (code 8990) according to the National Classifier of Ukraine DK 003:2010 “Classifier of Occupations”. The acquired training also corresponds to the military occupational specialty (MOS) 216.
